Do I remember those trips to Siloam during late 1940's and the early 1950's, you bet I do, they were a large part of my Christian Training.  We went every summer during those years, some were on a bus and some with my parents, who were involved with the development of Siloam Springs Baptist Assembly.  The driver of the bus each year was a Christian layman from our church (Immanuel Baptist, Little Rock) Carl Ledbetter, who had a great influence on my life during my youthful years.

Carl Ledbetter

I can remember other occasion when my family went to Siloam Springs in our 1936 Chevrolet and we were having trouble getting over the mountains in Northwest Arkansas, and my dad asked the family to get out and walk up the mountain road so the car could make the steep incline on the mountain roads.  I was about 9 years old on that trip, but we made it over the mountain and had a enjoyable time at Siloam Springs.
